  • I am receiving the following error: "Cannot find import; DLL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version. File MSVCRT.dll"
  • This problem can be resolved by making sure that Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or above is installed.

  • I am receiving the following error: "Cannot find import; DLL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version. File hhctrl.ocx"
  • This file is required by Microsoft HTML Help files. Installing Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or above will resolve this problem.

  • I am receiving the following error: "Exception EReadError in module FOLDER-SNAP.EXE at .... Error reading imgToolbar.Bitmap: Failed to read ImageList data from stream."
  • Folder-Snap requires a newer version of the Windows Common Controls. The file CC32inst.exe can be downloaded from the Microsoft Download Centre to update these controls.

  • I am receiving the following error: "The dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll could not be found in the specified path." or "Cannot find import; DLL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version. File SHLWAPI.dll"
  • This error will occur if you have an older version of Internet Explorer. Folder-Snap requires version 4 or above.

  • When trying to view the help file, an "Action canceled" message is displayed.
  • If you downloaded the help file on its own from the website, you will need to right-click on it and select Properties from the popup menu. At the bottom of this screen is the option to Unblock the help file. This is required because of a recent security update to Windows. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896358 for details.

    A similar issue will occur if you installed Folder-Snap onto a network drive. In this case, however, the help file cannot simply be unblocked. To solve the problem, the help file may be copied to the local computer, or alternatively, the hhreg utility may be used to enable access.
